The balustrades are among the most important architectural elements both for the building facades and for the tenants – users. The designs and materials available need to be studied in detail in order for the final choice to be considered architecturally successful.
The choice of balustrades must receive the approval of the architectural engineer, who, in consultation with the client – proprietor and based on the architectural parameters of that particular case, will provide a comprehensive functional and aesthetic solution. The attempts at improvisation of some technicians pretending to be architects usually produce tragic results and multiple failures degrading the aesthetic goodwill of a building.
After having completed an analysis of the characteristics of balustrades on new constructions, the METALAXI design team recorded observations, problems, comments, design defects, characteristics and conclusions regarding material behavior in time; they discussed with manufacturers, architects and individuals – users, and finally focused on designing original models with advanced features that offer innovative solutions to any architectural application.

FUNCTIONAL OPERATIONAL FEATURES:

The most important feature of the balcony balustrade would probably be ensuring comfort and freedom of movement while “censoring” the prying eyes of neighbors or passersby.

It does not oxidize and maintenance painting is not necessary, thus saving money in the long run. Its appearance will not change over time.

LOW STATIC CHARGE
Perfect for balconies with large overhang as well as for weak, aged buildings. Large overhangs, particularly the concentrated loads at the their edges, can create large bending moments that demand quality steel reinforcement. Instead of heavy solid barriers – fronts, we use aluminum or glass panels in various shapes, arranged on a strong but lightweight solid skeleton. The advantages of this method are numerous.
EASY TO INSTALL
In case the installation is not performed by our team, we can provide a plan with instructions upon delivery of the product. If the level of support is smooth and strong, the installation will be simple, easy, quick and low cost.
HEIGHT DETERMINATION
We can design and manufacture balustrades of any height the client may request to suit his needs.

METALAXI balustrades are not standardized. They are designed based on the client’s requests and needs. We develop a customized perforated pattern, taking into account the architectural data of each building. Each balustrade design is unique.

A permanent solution ensuring the safety of our children or the children of our guests. It removes the possibility that children may climb on the balustrade. It does not break. Perfect for commercial properties and hotels. The usual unattractive supplemental safety net that degrades the appearance of the building is deemed unnecessary in this case.
